Greenhouse Bases – EasyBases are the perfect solution for providing a base for small Sheds, Greenhouses, Workshops and Garden Rooms. The underfloor chassis in anodised aluminium that won’t rust or rot, and comes with pre-drilled holes for all the connections that form the frame. It is quick to install and a 6′ X 6′ Base should take no more than 90 minutes to complete.
The criss-cross layout of the support profiles gives the floor the correct tile spacing and load handling when used with our steel encapsulated 2′ X 2′ concrete filled tiles. On larger floors extra supports can be fitted both around the perimeter and in the centre where profiles cross. Furthermore we can supply adjustable feet that can deal with height variations of up to 200mm.
The floor itself is comprised of concrete filled Steel Tiles as shown below, each measuring 2′ X 2′. The platform can be mounted on solid blocks (timber/brick/stone) but must be level. Alternatively we can supply adjustable feet that can deal with height variations of up to 200mm.
This type of base is generally much less money that convenional concrete, can be carried through the house, can be moved or taken with you, re-positioned in the garden if so desired, and extended at a later date as required.
The panels just drop in. The screw shown in the lower section enables the lower rail to come of and be fitted with extra feet if there is a need to add more weight onto the floor of the building.
The aluminium frame never needs painting but can be painted, if required, to suit the garden colour scheme. The feet shown are industrial stillage feet designed to take several tons.
And now we see the finished base, ready for it’s building or display. Will you need jacking feet? Well this depends on how much you load the base and at what point or points.
Prices and availability.
Sizes start at 4′ X 4′ and can be up to 16′ in either or both axis. Multiply your required sqft quantity by £14 + VAT to arrive at your cost. Jacking feet are £9.90 each plus VAT. Order preparation time is currently three working days.
Prices quoted are ex-works, that means collected from our factory near Stratford-upon-Avon. Units can be shipped by Palletline to most addresses in the UK at modest cost. Call for details.
